Stevens wanted the space at the top of their Howe Center, with its incredible view of Manhattan, to be their new boardroom.   Unfortunately, the elevator is tiny, and terminates two floors below.  How do you get a 36 foot long table, and flanking staff tables, to their new home?   Paul Downs worked with Matiz Architecture & Design, and Spagonola & Associates, to find the solution.  Like all of our tables, we built this set to come apart easily so that difficult delivery paths don’t compromise the original design intent.  And we sent our own crew of installers and cabinetmakers to make sure the job was done right.  Thinking the problem all the way through is a Paul Downs specialty.  Do your vendors take the same approach?
