After completing a pair of table projects, the DAR came to us with a tougher problem: Could we design and build a new circulation desk for their historic library? One that matches the craftsmanship of a bygone age? (The room was opened in 1900.)
DURING
Building the DAR desk took a lot of hands doing a lot of handwork. Is the workshop of the future run by AI and staffed by robots? Not if we have anything to say about it. There’s simply no substitute for human hands, eyes, and judgment. Shoutout to shop manager Ryan Bardsley for bringing this difficult project across the finish line.
