What Drives Costs?

Table pricing is driven by four factors: size, shape, materials, and complexity.  Bigger costs more than smaller.  Straight-edged shapes are less expensive than curves.  Tables made with laminate and wood are less expensive than those made with metal, glass, and stone.  And any table that incorporates a lot of features and detail is more expensive than simpler designs.

Everything in our shop is made one at a time.  Every piece is made using the same skilled workers, so there is only one quality level:  superb.  Every project gets the same process of initial design, project management, and engineering.  We are never the low cost alternative.  But our attention to detail means that we leave our clients satisfied, even in the most demanding circumstances.

When you are starting a project, you need a number to assign to the table.  We can help.  We start by reviewing whatever you give us.  Maybe you’ve already determined size, shape, and design features you like.  Or maybe you’re starting with an empty room.  Or just a number.  Whatever you tell us, we’ll be able to give you a reasonable price range that reflects our understanding of your design intent.  We understand that there might be a long time between your initial planning and the final design and pricing.  Our estimates are intended to provide you with some room to explore design options with your client.

Value Engineering

Table design consists of hundreds of choices about what to do and how to do it.  If your initial design is stretching your budget, we’ll help you explore alternatives.  Our pricing spreadsheets allow us to quickly generate the price of alternate approaches.  Our design engineers will work with you to identify what features are essential to realize your vision, and what alternate approaches can meet your budget targets.

Final Pricing

Once we’ve settled on a design, we use its parameters to determine the final price.  We include costs of freight and installation, if you want us to handle those.  Our price quotes come with time limits, but if you place your order within that time, that’s the price you’ll pay.

Change Orders

Things happen.  Clients change their minds.   Supply chains go awry.  Unforeseen circumstances necessitate changes in design and timing.  We know how to swing with the punches.  And we’ll do everything we can to keep you and your clients happy.  If you want to know whether changes can be made, and how much it will cost, just ask.  It’s easiest to make changes at the front end of a project.  Changes made after production starts are more difficult, but we’ll do what we can.
